Ayada Maldives: Where Luxury, Adventure, and Sustainability Meet for the Perfect Honeymoon

I've had the privilege of traveling to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world. But there's one place that stands out in my mind as truly magical, and that's Ayada Maldives, especially as it is where we spent our honeymoon.

From the moment you arrive, you'll feel like you've stepped into a dream world. The resort is located in the stunning Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, surrounded by turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and a colorful coral reef teeming with marine life. The beauty of the Maldives is already enough to make it a top honeymoon destination, but Ayada takes it to the next level with its luxurious accommodations, range of activities, and commitment to sustainability.

A Maldivian Haven

One of the highlights of Ayada Maldives is undoubtedly the stunning accommodations. The resort has 122 villas in total, each designed to provide the utmost comfort, privacy, and style. The villas are divided into three categories: beach villas, overwater villas, and suites.

The beach villas, which we stayed at, are set amidst lush tropical gardens, with direct access to the pristine white sand beaches. Each villa has a private garden and plunge pool, as well as an outdoor shower and bathtub. The interiors are spacious and stylish, with natural materials such as wood and stone complementing the traditional Maldivian architecture.

The overwater villas are perhaps the most iconic accommodations at Ayada Maldives. Perched above the turquoise lagoon, these villas offer guests breathtaking views of the ocean and the coral reef below. The villas are spacious, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, making you feel like you're floating above the water. Each villa has a private sundeck with a daybed, loungers, and steps leading down to the water. Some villas even have a private infinity pool overlooking the lagoon.

The suites are the epitome of luxury at Ayada Maldives. With their spacious interiors, private pools, and stunning ocean views, they're the perfect choice for couples looking for the ultimate indulgence. The suites feature a separate living room and bedroom, as well as an outdoor dining area and a Jacuzzi. The interiors are decorated with elegant furnishings and artwork, creating a chic and sophisticated ambiance.

A Plethora of Activities

For couples who love water sports like us, Ayada Maldives has plenty of options. The resort has a PADI-certified dive center, offering a variety of courses and dive sites suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. The coral reef surrounding the resort is home to a wide variety of marine life, including reef sharks, turtles, and colorful fish. You can also go on a snorkeling excursion, either by boat or directly from the beach. The resort provides all the necessary equipment, including fins, masks, and life jackets.

If diving isn't for you, you can still enjoy the beauty of the lagoon with other water activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. The resort also has a catamaran and a speedboat available for rent, so you can explore nearby islands and sandbanks. And for those who prefer to stay on land, Ayada Maldives offers yoga classes, a fully equipped gym, and even a library for quiet moments with your loved one.

A Family Friendly Stay

While Ayada Maldives is known for its romantic and serene atmosphere, the resort is also very child-friendly, and since we noticed many kids at the resort during our stay, we believe it could make for a great choice for families with children of all ages.

The resort offers a range of activities that are perfect for children, including a kids' club, a playground, and a dedicated children's pool. The kids' club is staffed by trained professionals who organize fun and educational activities for children, such as arts and crafts, nature walks, and games. The playground is located next to the kids' club and is equipped with swings, slides, and other play equipment.

For older children, the resort has a range of water sports and other activities that are sure to keep them entertained. The resort's dive center offers courses and excursions that are suitable for children as young as eight years old, and the water sports center has equipment such as kayaks and stand-up paddleboards that children can use.

In addition, the resort has a range of family-friendly accommodations, including beach villas and suites that can accommodate families of four or more. These villas and suites have spacious interiors, as well as private pools and outdoor areas where families can spend time together.

Getting There

While Ayada Maldives may seem remote, getting there is easier than you might think. After flying into Male International Airport, guests can take a 55-minute domestic flight to Kaadedhdhoo Airport, followed by a short speedboat ride to the resort. Alternatively, guests can opt for a seaplane ride, offering stunning views of the Maldives from above.

Compared to other resorts in the Maldives, Ayada Maldives stands out for its unique combination of luxury, authenticity, and sustainability. We found it easy to get to and it was perfect for a blissful week.

Much Love

Shanti
